This Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ref.126508 is flashy enough to make a serious statement but durable enough to be a one-watch collection. Cased in full 18K yellow gold, this example features an attractive bright black dial with champagne subdials. Because of the constrasting subdials and red minute track, some collectors would call this a “modern Paul Newman dial” although purists insist that it’s not a true Paul Newman dial. Regardless, it’s an attractive colorway and the Chromalight fill on the hands and hour markers ensure good legibility even in low light.

The 40mm case is topped by a yellow gold bezel with an engraved tachymeter scale. The classic three-link Oyster bracelet, also in full yellow gold, has Rolex’s beloved Easy Link clasp for size adjustments up to 5mm on the fly.

The watch is driven by caliber 4131, a redesigned self-winding movement with improved precision and reliability. This certified Superlative Chronometer movement offers approximately 72 hours of power reserve and accurate timekeeping within 2 seconds per day.
